High efficiency clamping system
The AMTS bending tools reduces the tool change and setup time to about one-fifth of that required in the past. When the tools are assigned by an automatic program and the ram depth is controlled to high accuracy by an NC bender, the highly standardized AMTS specifications greatly ups the efficiency not only of tool change and setup, but also of staged bending and all other bending operations, and brings about a substantial improvement in bending productivity.
Standardization of tool change tasks
The tools are automatically clamped when they are loaded from the front of the machine and their switches are operated on the control panel. Hydraulically driven taper pins. Increased accuracy and hardness of tools
The tools are lined up, centering on short sizes for ease of handling. These narrow tools are finished to such high accuracy that they produce no joint marks when used connected. The punch tip is increased in hardness to HRC 52 to maintain its accuracy over a long period of time.
Simple and sure safety click mechanism
When a punch is inserted in its holder, a safety click (drop Prevention claw) holds the punch so that the punch does not drop when it is released. When the button of the safety click is pressed, the claw is loosened to allow the punch to be freely slid sideways.

Easy selection and positioning of tools
All tools are marked with their part number, dimensions, and tonnage in a unified format. A scale graduated in both inches and millimeters is marked on one-piece holders that run the length of the table. The tools can be set simply and accurately for a complicated layout while checking their part numbers.
Standardization of tool shape
The punches and dies are provided with clamp grooves symmetrical front and back. This makes it possible to use the punches reversibly and to install the punches and dies in the bend and ram, respectively. The punches and dies are standardized in their height. This height standardization allows a free combination of complex steps.
Realize various bending application
Special application such as offset, hemming and R-bend can be achieved. These bends were used to be carried by other machine. AMTS type II allows these bends on the same holder as standard V bend. One machine can perform various bends and allows the process reduction.
